Mansfield Amateur Radio Society takes part in a number of ‘Special Events’
including “International Museums on the Air”
We have used Papplewick Pumping Station for this event
usually operating on the HF bands, on 80 & 40 Mtrs and 2 Mtr VHF
using the ‘special events’ call sign GB2PPS
We have a NoV to operate GB2PPS from 12 August 2011 to 3 November 2011
and plan to operate over some of the Steaming Weekends
The next one being the 1940’s Steam Weekend - 22nd & 23rd October
and at other times on 80 Mtrs or 40 Mtrs.
